How is life?
You know I have been accused of being positive.
I admit it. I am positive. I love life.
Recently someone said “It’s easy for you to be positive, but I have so many problems.”
We all have problems.
I’m positive because I choose to be. Not because I live a charmed life. But because I have a secret.
Oh, it’s hidden in plain sight. It’s NLP. NLP taught me that positivity is a choice.
Let me share with you a few of the problems I’ve had this week (cue the violin music).
Sunday night I took one of my sons to hospital, just in case he went into coma. (Don’t worry. It’s because of his diet to control his epilepsy. We need to be careful.)
That same son had an epileptic fit at 3:30am. If you’ve ever wondered just how much sleep we get, I can show by example that it’s not much.
The dog was sick all over her bed. It was a joy to clean up.
The office WIFI went down on the last day to send a proposal. We almost missed the deadline.
In the middle of an exchange over a contract with an international client, our website crashed.
I have a face-to-face client meeting scheduled this week. It will require a 7 hour round trip for a meeting that should last 40 minutes.
Indeed, it is a glorious life being an NLP Trainer. (Big grin. Stop the violins now.)
We all have problems. Life is full of them. Problems show you’re alive.
I came across a couple of quotes that I really like.
- Someone who had not had any problems in life said “God, do you not trust me anymore?”
- The other one which makes me smile for some reason. “I know God won’t give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish he didn’t trust me so much.”
I’d credit the authors of these quotes if I knew who said them. If you know who they are from, please let me know.
Here’s what’s most interesting about problems: the bigger your goals, the more problems you have. Also, the more opportunities you have.
And, you’re already equipped with the best tool possible for solving your problems. Your brain is an amazing problem solving machine. It works best when you understand how your brain works and how language impacts your life.
Do you want to get the most out of life? Would you like an edge? The difference that makes the difference is NLP training.
Let me know when you are ready to take your training to the next level. I am patiently waiting for you. Please don’t disappoint me.
Next week I will share with you the insights from one of my favourite books on personal development. It tracks the journey that we go though as we set out to achieve our goals. It’s so good that I have read it to my all my children and use it on the NLP Master Practitioner.
