Ideas for NLP book club

Ideas for NLP book clubHave you ever wondered way the ninth month comes from the word seven? September comes from the Latin root septem, meaning seven.

Been brainstorming ideas for the book club.

The goal is to create a vibrant club to:

  • Share book ideas/recommendations
  • Share ideas
  • Share stories
  • Inspire
  • Put into action what you have learnt from the books
  • Community of like-minded people
  • Where you are safe and feel you can ask questions

So how do we do this?

This would work best as a membership area on our website. This way we can avoid the online Trolls. Feel safe in expressing our views and opinions and create a learning space we all want to be part of.

We as a group will choose books to be included. Once a fortnight we have a new book to discuss.

I will produce for each book:

  • 5 page book summary
  • Audio version of the book summary
  • Mind Map of the book

I will also contact the authors of the books, ask for an interview and share the interview with you.

So that we have a group who are committed and invested in taking part, it would be good for us to charge a small monthly fee; for example £2.99 or £3.99.

Your thoughts and questions would be most welcome.

Starting date of the book club: 1st October.

Do you think we should also limit membership numbers?

In case you were wondering, September comes from the Roman calendar which had only ten months including: Martius, Aprilis, Maius, Junius, Quintilis, Sextilis, September, October, November, and December. The last six months were assigned names according to their ordinal numbers
